Hudson Mid Coast IPA

From recent notes on a trip to Boulder, Colorado. Poured into a medium sized, shaker style kitchen glass. Pours a hazy, gold/orange amber with a one finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, mixed tropical fruit and mango with a good moderate citrus bitterness in the finish. Flavor follows, with pale malt, mixed tropical and citrus fruit, well integrated and balanced. Medium bodied with light creaminess. As promised by the name, a good balance between the fruit forward NE style IPAs and citrus dominated West Coast styles. The mid coast style is a hazy I like. Hudson is well balanced and has a pleasant lingering bitterness. Good introduction to the brewery.
