Fresh Pint from Tap at the brewery. Perfectly executed.
Nice generous fragrant head, those classic dark roasted malts, with hint of cocoa. Brilliantly balanced, rich classic feel and clean. Lacing was a thing of beauty, as it was consumed 3rd in my pint samplings. Tried take some home, but only goes out in sealed (great looking) growlers. I would have this all the time, instead of 1554, if it came in packs. Great place, location, super staff and many nice food choices (big grain pretzel!). Hats off to Jared! Highly recommend. Chattanooga is in the process of re-inventing itself as a great brew-pub town, and has lots to do in a relatively short walking area.

On tap at the brewpub.
This is a mild, mainstream Schwarzbier. Good balance and no notable flaws. Some notes of dark bread remain from the malts. Smooth body. The small head leaves streaks of sticky lacing on the glass. Very mild bitterness mixed with light sweetness.
