On tap at the brewpub. This is Chattanooga's Black Lager -- a mild, mainstream Schwarzbier -- aged in Chattanooga whisky barrels.
Aroma: pleasing; features sweet whisky and a faint hint of roasted grains.
Good balance and no notable flaws in the flavor. Some notes of dark bread remain from the malts, but the whisky is way more obvious. Very mild bitterness mixed with light sweetness.
Smooth body. The small head leaves a few spots of sticky lacing on the glass.
