Poured with a beautiful nitro cascade, settling to a clear golden body with one finger of thick, mousse-like white head. A beautiful IPA. Scents of orange and juicy tangerine flesh, orange peel, light pine resin, light spicy hops and sweet malt. Overall impression of aroma is of a very citrus forward, fruity, appealing IPA with a nice undercurrent of pine and malt. Simple, but crisp and pleasing. Flavor begins with medium-high bitterness with notes of orange peel, pine resin and lightly sour and sweet tangerine flesh. Middle is bitter with notes of orange peel, light tangerine flesh, and medium pine resin with light spicy hops. Finish is bitter with notes of orange peel, very light tangerine flesh, medium-high pine resin, light sweet malt and faint hop spice. Aftertaste is pine resin and orange peel. Overall impression of flavor is of a wonderful IPA rich in citrus and pine flavors and bitterness with just enough malt to aid the hops. Very nice and quite refreshing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and creamy with light carbonation. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a very smooth nitro-IPA that is very smooth and easy to drink. Overall this is a fantastic IPA, its simple yet appealing aroma giving way to a wonderfully hoppy cola or profile and a beautifully smooth mouthfeel. Quite nice and a shame they change the recipe with each batch, but this batch is amazing.
