On tap at Simmzy's in Burbank, CA.
Pours a murky dark copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of citrus and earthy hop characteristics that are slightly better in the smell to me.
Serving type: on tap.
