Rheinblick is an authentic German experience. The entrance is from a back parking lot, and halfway down an alley lined with faded murals of German scenery. The dining space is narrow, with clunky tables and chairs to seat a variety of party sizes. Many photographs, steins, and bottles decorate the walls. Some heavy dark stained timbers add to the illusion of an old world space, while big storefront windows look out on Main St. Traditional music plays in the background.
The servers dress in German costume, are very friendly, and knowledgeable. They are young, yet seemingly have been the same group for the ten years we have visited. Service is attentive, meaning the pace matches that of the diners rather than the kitchen, making for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
The beer menu is standard German draught, augmented with interesting and exceptionally well priced bottles. Sadly no Gose yet. I rarely buy bottled beer in restaurants, but at Rheinblick I usually have two. The food is always exquisite, and seems authentic to me. (My point of reference is 3rd-4th generation removed). Portions are large and the Käsespätzle is a must-have. Check-out the food and beverage menu on their webpage.
This place is charming and is a favorite which we visit a few times every year, despite the long drive.

This is not a place that you go for a drink if you're looking for craft beer. This is a traditional German-style restaurant, and as such, serves only a couple of German or German-style lagers. However, what this place lacks in beer selection, it more than makes up for in tchotchkes...and fantastic, delicious food.
