A hazy, deep amber body is topped by a frothy head of off-white. The head retention is good and it leaves some very fine lace throughout the glass. Grassy/piney hops combine in the nose with a delicate malt and some yeasty fruitiness. The body is medium and its very fine, moderate carbonation leaves it delicately crisp and then smooth across the palate. More yeasty fruitiness is evident in the flavor, and its citrusy and grassy/piney hops are much clearer. What biscuity malt is present simply acts as a springboard for it's hops and fuit. The flavors are very well-balanced, as is its bold bitterness. It finishes dry with some lingering citrus and dull bitterness.

Hazed copper color with a light tan head.
Aroma is faint for an IPA. Grassy hops and grainy, pale malts.
Taste shows a hop profile that provides more bitterness than flavor. Grainy, pale malts with a slight caramel note. Fairly well balanced. Lingering bitterness on the palate after the finish.
Decent body, but a bit of astringency to the mouthfeel.
Above average drinkability.
Overall a decent IPA, but the bitterness:flavor ratio seems a little high for my liking. As far as NC IPA's, I much preferred the Cottonwood Endo IPA.
