L- Lovely chestnut brown, clear, with 1Cm just off-white fine-bubble head (holds up well for the style, a thin cap and lacing 10mins later).
S- I don't get much, just a touch of 'bright' trad beery palate.
T- Toasty, some richness, then a touch watery, notably bready, into some hopping. --- 2nd mouthfull, similar but overall the taste comes over better.
F- It's quite light feeling overall for an ale, but the taste is pretty good.
O- I was concerned that Robinson's, the brewer of legends like 'Old Tom' might be prodcing a poor quality discount beer for Co-op here, but no this is a well put together beer. Yes it's only 4.2% so don't expect big drama or fireworks, but it's a very sessionable beer with nothing notable out of place/balance. 500ml from Co-op £1.60 BBE Jan-2021
