Cask bitter at the Bell's of Peover, where the allies drafted up plans for D-Day. Nice bit of history right there. The beer is a decent workaday bitter. It pours a nice gold with an off-white head. Light biscuit aroma with floral hopping. The taste is much the same - its a very biscuity beer, and has a nice floral and herbal finish to it. All in all, a bit plain and simple, but sometimes that works. Moderate bitterness. Medium body with restrained carbonation.
