L- Bright chestnut, pours clear with a 2-3mm tan foam cap, holds up pretty well.
S- Toasty grain, a trad smell.
T- Trad hoppy bitterness on the front. The bitter hops linger with sufficient malt in the background to balance. It lacks much complexity.
F- Comes over as a very trad type bitter. The bitter hops are the dominant feature.
O- It's ok, in the style of 'like back in the old days'; uncomplicated. Could work at lunch, or be sessionable though it's a bit pedestrian (to me) to wish to make a habit of it.
