I had this at the John Bull Pub in Moscow. The pub claimed that it was brewed especially for them, a statement I find it difficult to believe. I suspect there are John Bull Pubs around the world serving the same stuff and claiming it as their own. In any event...

My version was a nice clear deep gold with a firm off-white head that left marvellous lace rings all the way down the glass. The nose was quite malty and smooth. The mouth was overcarbonated and light. I noticed a pleasant malt and slightly, ever so slightly, sour taste to start, chased by a good crisp hoppy bitterness featuring that distinctively British edge so common in pales and bitters. That pleasant bite lingered well into the aftertaste. Eminently quaffable brew.
