Good Cheap Local Brew Like supporting the local guys

Pretty much what I expected here, though having it cheap and something I could give people who don't drink craft, gives this little guy a nod every now and again.

This is my first review, and I hope I can state myself properly.
I had no idea what to expect when I grabbed a thirty-pack of this ale. I'm big on supporting Pittsburgh area brews, and the brewer is dedicated to resurrecting historical 'Burgh beers, a la Duquesne Pilsner.
Fort Pitt has a very even, malty flavor, with a slight hop edge on the finish. It's not too dark and has a fair, creamy foam to it. I liked it in both can and vintage pils glass, though glass seemed to bring out more malt smells, which I prefer. Again, there is some decent hop smell to it.
Fort Pitt is refreshing enough for summer, but it seems like a year-round winner for me. It brought to mind the more session-style English ales I got to sample when traveling in the UK, not too heavy, just-right percentage of alcohol.
Overall, I'm happy we have a delicious new ale in town! Though Fort Pitt is certainly not like the original, which I assume would have been an American macro, it's a well-priced, nuanced brew.
