IBU 90.

Copenhagen 20/4 2015. 50 cl bottle. Gift from a former colleague. Label with miner searching for more Imperial Stout.
Pours jet black with a mid-sized dark beige head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing .
Aroma of bitter coffee supplemented with rich notes of alcohol. Dark roasted malts, toffee and brown sugar.
Carbonation is soft providing a silky and creamy mouthfeel.
Flavor is fairly balanced between dark malty sweetness and bitter coffee. Taste is rather strong obscuring the high alcohol content.
Very fine stout - but I will only be able to drink more than one on the same night.

May 2013: Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013, from the Fish & Beer stand. Black colour, moderate tan head. Lovely aroma, moderate roasty notes, coffee, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and liquorice. The medium sweet flavour has a very slight acidity, roasty notes of coffee and chocolate, and a little caramel and liquorice.
