Copenhagen 8/6 2024. 50 cl bottle from Larsen Delikatesser, Bredgade, Herning. Black label with all kinds of whirring gears.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a very strong sugary sweet odor - a bit candy-like. Sweet malt, brown sugar in abundance, dark fruit like raisins and plums. Vanilla and chocolate. Sweet, boozy liqueur.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor Is medium intense with strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of sweet alcohol.
Sugary take on a Quadrupel.
