Copenhagen 10/6 2024. 50 cl bottle from Larsen Specialiteter, Bredgade, Herning. A hammer and a Anvil on the label with very shining sun in the background.
Pours opaque murky mahogany with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, sugary odor of dark malts with a subtle hoppy bitter scent lurking in the background. Sweet caramel and toffee. Brown sugar. Raisins and plums. Alcohol and grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness . Aftertaste is sourish and bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is surprisingly dry.
Decent take on a Belgian Dubbel with a sourish tang.
