A beer series consisting of 4 different Imperial Stouts. The malt and hop profile is completely the same on all 4 beers. The only difference is what they are aged with or on. So a total of 4 different Black Maniacs (plain version, coffeee, oak aged with rum and peat whiskey infused). This is the version that has been infused with smoked whiskey.

Copenhagen 31/1 2021. 50 cl bottle from Høkeren, Ravnsborggade, Kbh. N. Jet black label with silver lines and letters. Pours opaque, black with a small beige head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a prominent presence of alcohol, sour dark grains, licorice, peat, bitter dark chocolate. Subdued sweet odor of caramel and brown sugar. Whisky.
Light carbonation. Fairly thick, viscous, oily, fat, sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a moderate sweetness followed by a strong salty bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and boozy.
A viscous whirlwind of bitterness, alcohol and saltiness.
