Black Smoke is a black, powerful beer that has been added with a large portion of smoked malt. German smoked malt from Bamberg and peat-smoked whiskey malt. The smoked malts help give this Imperial Stout a unique flavor, and is a really nice, enjoyable beer, where new nuances emerge in the beer throughout the entire tasting process.

7 types of malt (Pilsner, Smoked, Whiskey, Biscuit, Special B, Black and Chocolate)

2 types of hops (Columbus, Amarillo)

Copenhagen 3/7 2024. 50 cl bottle from Larsen Delikatesser, Bredgade, Herning. Dark smoky cloth on the label in Det Lille Bryggeri's usual design.

Pours opaque, murky dark mahogany with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as meagre remnants of foam floating about. No lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty and distinctly smoky odor. Sweet dark malts. Caramel and toffee. Cured, salty and smoky meat. Salami.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger salty and bitter taste. Aftertaste is bitter with a salty touch. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

A Salty and Smoky Dog.
