The Old Forge is a delicious Brown Ale, where the malt profile is the main factor, and where the hops are there to create harmony and balance in the beer. Dark notes such as coffee and chocolate fill the mouth nicely.

Copenhagen 23/62024.50 cl bottle from Larsen Delikatesser, Bredgade, Herning. Det Lille Bryggeri's usual design with a Hammer and an anvil with some orange brown sunlight in the background.
Pours clear dark brown with red hue and a small off-white head., Abit bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong sweet and slightly sugary, malty scent. Burnt brown sugar. toffee and caramel. whiff of grains.
Medium strong carbonation.Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with rather strong sweetness followed by moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with sourish tang. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Solid dry take on a English Brown Ale.
