A dark, full-bodied beer, where the balance between the many malts and hops is very carefully adjusted, so that all flavor impressions are present. Belgian Trappist yeast helps to complete this beautiful and powerful beer.

Copenhagen 8/1 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Det lille Bryggeri's usual label design in sombre brown tones with the outline of some pointy boilers.
Pours opaque, murky, dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet and a bit sugary malty odor mingling with a earthy, yeasty scent. Caramel and toffee. Hints of brown sugar, Wet soil and humid cellar.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Quite satisfying take on a Belgian dark brew.
