Copenhagen 12/6 2020. 33 cl small chubby bottle from Vild med Vin Web-shop. The label looks like a piece of abstract art you could run into at your local public school with a lot of partly overlapping squares in different colors.
Pours opaque dark brown with a hectic, bubbly beige head. settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, sugary and vinous odor and a hefty booziness. Fermented plum, dark chocolate, brown sugar, dark sweet alcohol. A bit heavy.
Light carbonation. Thick, soft, smooth, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet - almost sugary - with a light bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Semi-dry finish with an alcoholic burn.
Imperial stout with an almost vinous quality and a chocolate infused aftertaste. Not bad.
