Copenhagen 1/1 2020. 50 cl bottle from Beerlivery Web-shop. Label in the Brewerys usual design this time very dark and with a blackberry.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Rim along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, fruity with a dark undertone of licorice and smoke. Ripe blackberries, brown sugar, licorice, leather, tobacco. Hints of smoke.
Light carbonation. Thick, soft, slightly sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense. Strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with berries and sugar. Lingering. Light boozy burn in the finish.
Fine imperial stout with a good fit with sweet berries.
