Copenhagen 20/3 2026. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop getting rid of their Christmas beers. The design looks like something out of a James Bond Movie with a gun and a Christmas gift.
Pours unclear and a bit murky mahogany with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,2 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of toasted malts mingling with a sourish scent of citrus fruit and grass. Toasted bread, biscuits and a little caramel. Sharp lemon and a little alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet and smooth.
Sweet and English - and without Christmas Spices.
