Stjerneglød is a wonderful Christmas brew, brewed according to the Belgian model with the addition of star anise. Star Glow has a lovely harmony with a touch of spices and licorice.

Copenhagen 28/3 2026. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop getting rid of the rest of their Christmas beers. Can in Det Lille Bryggeri' usual design in red and black and with a star as motif.
Pours slightly unclear dark mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin patches of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty and sugary odor mingling with sweet spice and alcohol. Dark malts and brown sugar. Raisins and plums. Vanilla and anise. Tart berries peeking in.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a tart bitter undertone. Lingers for a while, Finish is semi-dry.
Sweetish take on a Christmas beer laden with sweet spice,
