330ml bottle brewed 26.08.12
A - deep mahogany with ruby highlights and a think cream head
S - sweet sweet booze, ginger bread, red toffee apple
T - follows smell, with drunken cherries attempting to steal the show
M - medium light with alcohol providing the only bitterness
O - light on power and complexity, but still functional as a night cap

An overwhelming pear aroma, growing more apple with temperature. Sweet, but not too much.
The impressions of the aroma are present in the palate, when it was colder there was more toffee, cocoa, coffee complexity. Now, more raisins and dates. The prime reference is barley wine, but Tripel influence is clearly present, especially in the aftertaste. Alcohol is very noticeable.
Somewhat sour.
Dries your mouth, after gently stroking it.
A nice fruity barleywine, with a belgian twist. A fun experiment while retaining very enjoyable taste and smell.
