Dark brown body with a large, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing.
Moderate malty (roasted) aroma with notes of coffee and dark chocolate, light licorice and maybe red fruits.
Moderate bitter and light-to-moderate sweet flavour; long-lasting bitter-sweet finish.
Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.
More than satisfactory.

A huge head with decent retention. Clear, but a super dark opaque fluid. A bit more lacing would score it higher in the appearance category.
Aroma is really good. Sweet burnt caramel with an undercurrent of molasses. Coffee, toffee and brown bread. Dark roasted malts and a clean yeast. Earthy hops with a touch of hop spiciness.
Taste is full of coffee and molasses. A clean dry earthy hop finish gives what is a relatively sweet beer, an overall dry personality. Finish is very clean with a dry astringency and light cocoa maltiness lingering.
Feel is silky and mildly carbonated with a refreshing swallow and high drinkability. Very easy to go through several of these.
I really like this brew. Went well with vegan lamb and mac and cheese as well as apple pie al la mode.
