Very limited run of their delicious Imperial Stout Ale of the 2 TUN.
Only brewed 5 5 gallon kegs. They let this nectar rest in Single Bourbon Barrels for 3 years. The beer held up amazingly well compared to the ilk that is coming out around the country.
Not boozy at all. The combinations are all right there for you. Smoky thanks to the barrel itself; still intense as an Imperial Stout should be, but smoothed out and just the right amount of sweetness thanks to the Bourbon notes.
This was a great ride and a real honor to be one of about 120 tops that would get to sip this beer.
I have had Parabola, Old Rasputin Barrel Aged, and a couple of others, this is totally in the wheel house of legitimate barrel aging. Can only hope they do it again.
