I thought this was great. I had another bottle that sat for almost two years and it was even better.

The beer has an great nose of apricots and alcohol. Taste is almost non exist ant taste hints of apricots, raisins, nuts and alcohol. Mouthfeel is is watery and has very little carbonation. Very drinkable but there really is not much to it. Has a slight alcohol after taste but very slight.

C+
750ml into a tulip. Pours an opaque deep orange amber, nearly no head even with an encouraging pour, minimal lacing.
Aroma is of spiced honey, old apricots, pear and confectioners sugar.
Taste too is of spices, cardamom and a minor peat tumble together. A minor bitter rides the aftertaste which doesn't improve with warmth. Thinnish unexceptional mouthfeel. Finishes like a scotch ale.
cheers

Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, fruit, and alcohol. Taste is much the same with a mild bitterness and an alcohol kick with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that is drinkable but not really all that exciting.
