I HATED THIS BEER. Beer should not be spicy which was exactly what this beer was. This was the worst product of the 2017 12 days of milkshake stout.

A chocolate shiny black body with a nice head forming in the snifter, 1 finger which is a lot in this particular glass, Thulsa Doom.

Faint aromas of wet Hershey bar, cinnamon-dusted cereal, and lactose.

Flavor is kind of a mess. It's like used Big Red gum from a park bench. It falls flat, the highlight being some slight cocoa puffs action at the beginning, but then it turns downhill into an overwhelming amount of serrano peppers, stale cinnamon, metal, and dusty malts.

Feel is lightly creamy, and lighter bodied than it should be. The heat is all over the palate and throat.

Overall, this tasted like a very old used piece of Big Red gum from under the park bench. Not recommended.

Poured from pint can to nonic pint. As with moat others in the 12 Days pack, this one is cola colored with a few fingers of frothy mocha head. Not a lot of heat in the aroma, mostly it's standard RM Milkshake Stout cocoa and roasted malt. The flavor however, carries a candied cinnamon flavor rhat brings out the cocoa nibs in a way that isn't present in others, and it's wonderful. The habanero heat is there, but not distracting, and the ale finishes warm on the tongue and down the throat. Sweet lactose and roasted malt round out the flavor.

Dark brown beer with a light tan head that dissipated quickly.
Smell is a little bitter with some peppers and some chocolate/vanilla. Cinnamon is present.
Taste brings the peppers along with slight chocolate and a noticeable cinnamon.
Feel is warm and spicy.
Overall, I like this, but I like spicy stouts a lot anyway.

16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 5/5/2018. Pours lightly hazy nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, cinnamon, habanero pepper, toasted dark bread, light nuttiness/wood/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa, lactose, and cinnamon/pepper spice notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, cinnamon, habanero pepper, toasted dark bread, light nuttiness/wood/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness and pepper/cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, cinnamon, habanero pepper, toasted dark bread, light nuttiness/wood/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa, lactose, and cinnamon/pepper spice flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and cinnamon/pepper spiciness balance; with zero cloying/astringent flavors after the. Slightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and lightly silky/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.2%. Lightly increasing pepper heat heat through the glass on the finish, never overwhelming. Overall this is a delicious spiced milk stout. All around nice dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa, lactose, and cinnamon/pepper spice flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Pretty rich feeling for the modest ABV. Nice cinnamon/pepper presence and balance with the base beer; well restrained and not overdone at all. I really enjoy the mellow lingering heat in pepper beers. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example.
