16 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 9/24/2017. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an excellent NE IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellow bitter/drying finish. Great dank, juicy, vibrant hop flavors; balancing malts with no residual sweetness. Spot on style example, even though it lacks the usual fruity/tropical hop profile in favor of locally grown C hops. A really enjoyable offering.
