Overly sweet, not as thick and rich as I would have liked. Some of these I really like, some I don't.

Pours a very dark, caramel brown with no head. Lots of sticky caramel on the nose. Great milk chocolate notes on the tongue. Such a great flavor combination.

16 ounce can, best by date of 06/29/21 stamped on the bottom of the can. 2020 vintage as part of the 2020 12 Day of Milkshake Stout seasonal pack. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around for a while. Aroma is nice, it mostly smells like toffee but there's also some roasted malt, chocolate and cream noticeable too. I think the taste pretty much follows the aroma, the toffee flavor is the strongest, along with some roasted malt, chocolate and cream noticeable. Sweet tasting brew but not too sweet tasting. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, definitely worth picking up if you like toffee!

Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht. Cheers!
From a 16oz can into a pint glass
IBU: 20
Best Before 27 June 2019
Ale with milk sugars and cocoa nibs
APPEARNCE: Clear brown pour yields a two finger, slightly thinner looking, foamy, light tan head with okay retention. Bistre brown body with no real carbonation evident. Head recedes to a splotchy wisp and ring leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Ring remains but leaves no real lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Milder nose on this one. Toffee notes are definitely there, with notes of milk sugars, milk chocolate there too. Milder but the elements are there.
TASTE: Milder flavors. A bit of toffee as well as some light milk sugars up front. A touch of sweetness at the swallow and a milder finish of some sweet toffee, milk sugars and milk chocolate lingers on the palate. Milder, less forthcoming, yet decent to drink.
PALATE: Medium body and carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry.
OVERALL: This one is a less impressive. The look and feel are fine but the aroma and flavor aren’t as forthcoming. The English toffee is in there but it’s not as impressive as some of the other in the series. Check it out if you're trying to tick them all I guess, but if you're just looking for a one off, this isn't the one to choose. Nothing wrong per se, just nothing overly right.

WONDERFUL. Fantastic flavors and feel. Many of the others in the 12 pack are somewhat disappointing. This one was great. May they continue along these lines.

16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 7/1/2019. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, toffee, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, nuts, toasted dark/brown bread, coffee, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, toffee, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious flavored English milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, toffee, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very well balanced nicely rich malts, lactose, cocoa, and toffee flavors; with light earthy hop presence against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

Pours dark brown. Foamy, short tan head that Fades shortly after.
Smells roast malt, like caramel and light chocolate.
Taste is rather dry for a milk stout. roasted malts light chocolate, caramel and a hint of earthiness. Finishes dry with a roasted linger. Lighter medium body and fizzy lighter carbonation.
