Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with good carbonation. Minimal head, but tiny bubbles throughout. The nose is vanilla, marshmallow, chocolate, mint, rosemary, and some Oreo cookies. The taste follows the nose. Very mint forward. A peppery spice, chocolate, milk, cherries, and vanilla. Quite smooth. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied. Aftertaste is a mix of sweet and bitter. Overall, a good beer.

Not bad, one sip taste like the mint chocolate chip ice cream, little medicinal taste though as well

I got a can of this beer from a mixed holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan head that did not leave any lace. The scent had mint chocolate freshness. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with a girl scout thin mint cookie presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with fizzy carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Basically an Andes chocolate mint in beer form. Others have done it, this one does it too (and well). Smell of light peppermint and chocolate. Taste brings that and more, the mint and menthol forward, roasty chocolate at the end. Maybe not a perfect execution in the base, but the mint and chocolate are adjuncts that cure a lot of sins. Feel is a touch thin, but a thick viscous stout has never been the gameplan on these variants. Overall very fun, happy to have it in the 12 days variety pack.

#2 of my beer advent calendar 2019....
A- Pours a nice dark chocolaty color with semi opaqueness....some, but not much light shines through. The head is tan colored, and appears to be dense and creamy looking, starting about 2 fingers in thickness, however, it does settle rather fast into a thick layer over the brew itself. Lacing is nice, with a pleasant looking ring of sticky foam clinging to the inside of my glass. So far this is decent!
S- Right off the bat this gives me childhood memories of a mint milkshake from the Dairy Queen, current memories of mint chocolate chip ice cream, and my wifes' peppermint patties made during the holidays. Spearmint and peppermint extract is noted, alongside dark chocolate, hints of creamy coffee, some charred black and chocolate malts, cocoa nibs, and slight grassy/Earthy notes near the finish. Speaking of the finish, it is completely dessert like....I'm ready to taste!
T- Flavors that co-inside with the aforementioned aromas are plenty, with more of the stout beer shining through. The chocolate character is dominant, with the mint taking a back seat, but it keeps the palate refreshed and I don't find it overpowering in the least. Coffee with heavy cream, yeasty biscuit and balancing/bittering black malts are noted in the body and finish of this one.....herbal quality spearmint leaves round out the end and after the swallow, sparse yet noticeable hop bitterness comes about.
M/O- Smooth creamy texture, mild carbonation and a medium full body all contribute to this having an excellent mouthfeel! This is also highly drinkable and full of flavor, rounded out by some traditional aspects of the style and just enough bitterness to help counter the sweetness/richness. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something different and if I get a chance, will definitely purchase this again!

16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 6/6/2020. Pours slightly hazy very dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, brown bread/crust, coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Increasing peppermint cooling after the finish. Overall this is an awesome flavored milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel, very flavorful for the ABV. Awesome balance of nicely rich malts, authentic cooling mint, lactose, and cocoa nib flavors; with solid earthy hops and mild fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Plenty of peppermint, without being overwhelming to the base stout. Really big fan.
