16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 6/1/2020. Pours dark ruby red/brown color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of vanilla, toffee, coffee, red grapes, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, cocoa nibs/butter, grapes, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of vanilla, toffee, coffee, red grapes, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust, vanilla, toffee, coffee, red grapes, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, cocoa nibs/butter, grapes, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; with no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an awesome flavored milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, cocoa nibs/butter, grapes, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft/silky feel, very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balanced nicely rich malt complexity, lactose, cocoa nibs/butter, and grape flavors; with light earthy hops and mild fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive English style example as expected. Nice PB-like flavor presence, but not as much jammy grape notes as I had hoped.
