A- Pours out of the can with a glorious looking thick foamy head, that must be a derivative of the oats used....it is tan in colour, golf ball textured, and shows excellent retention, slowly settling into a half finger of froth over top the brew. The lacing is also impressive, with snow capped mountain tops being created around the inside of my glass after some gentle swirling. The carbonation is much too hard to see within this opaque dark brown stout. Overall this is a strong looking type of beer!
S- Super yummy already....its making my mouth water! I swear my wife has just made some fresh oatmeal raisin cookies straight out of the oven! Huge amounts of raisin goodness, showing off concentrated grape sugars, huge cinnamon and maybe even some clove spiced oatmeal, vanilla, lesser cocoa nib, heavy cream, brown sugars (caramel/toffee), and even perhaps some pumpkin pie spice. There is no real Earthy dryness or hop bitterness to discuss here....simply liquified cookies here!
T- Ok this area is somewhat of a disappointment when comparing to what I was expecting based off of the aromas. It is rather mild in overall flavors and there is a bit of a tang that I'm not fond of. Trying to get around these distractions, there are more traditional flavors of dark unsweetened cocoa, older coffee, dry soil, oat flakes, and dark burnt malts, such as chocolate and black. I think the tang is coming from the use of raisins and I don't really know how I feel about them now.....this one just hits the back and sides of my tongue more than not....the areas that pick up astringent bitter flavors.
M/O- The mouthfeel is medium or thereabouts, with the carbonation leaning into the heavy side of things. The drinkability factor really takes a tumble for me, as I would definitely be done after getting through this can unfortunately. I would like to enjoy this with some oatmeal raisin cookies paired on the side to maybe help bring back some of the sweetness experienced in the aromas, but if I don't have the chance to try it again, I'm good with this one. This would be one of the weaker milkshake stouts I've tried to date in the Rochester Mills lineup

I got a can of this beer from a mixed holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had raison and chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with an oatmeal raison flare. There was also subtle hints of chocolate. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with fizzy carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Pours a pitch black with two fingers of cola foam reducing to a thin ring. Smells of raisin, oatmeal, chocolate, and coffee. Taste follows suit but the flavors are weak feeling. Not much of any one flavor and nothing stands out. Feel is thin and watery. Decent flavored stout. I feel like they could have kicked it up a notch.
