Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice black with lots of light brown head. Tons of lacing. The nose is fantastic. Hazelnuts are dominant. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, chocolate milk, peanut butter, and a bit of maple. Really nice and smooth.

The taste largely follows the nose. A sweetness hits immediately, but not cloying. Milk chocolate, hazelnuts, creamy fudge, vanilla, almonds, medium roast coffee, a touch of roasted malts, burnt marshmallow, milk, donuts (I'm feeling cruller), and a hint of banana. Really easy drinking and tasty.

Mouthfeel is creamy. Aftertaste is largely sweet, but with a hint of roasted malts. Overall, a really nice sweet stout.

I was Leary about this one since I don’t like hazelnut and the this series ha been so so, but it was one of the tastier beers from Rochester, the nutty coffee taste is decent

I got a can of this beer from a mixed Christmas 2021 holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had beautiful coffee with hazelnut creamer notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mocha malt base and hazelnut flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Beer #2 of my 2021 Advent calendar.....

A- This comes flying out of the can with an incredible looking tan colored head, that is a good three fingers thick, and shows amazing retention, slowly settling down to maybe two and a half fingers.....the texture is of thick froth, as though it has been whipped up by a whisk! The beer is a dark cola color, doesn't show any transparency, and pours out somewhat thick looking. As for the carbonation and lacing, well it is too hard to see any sort of bubbly goodness rising, and after some gentle swirling, there is not a whole lot happening, other than some small orb shaped clumps of foam clinging to the inside of the glass, alongside a watery looking film. Overall this is a decent looking stout!

S- Oh the aromas are quite delicate, yet creamy and full of texture. I get wonderful smells of full on Hazelnut, chocolate, wafer and mocha coffee. It really reminds me of a Ferrero Rocher chocolate, hands down....this is what it is exactly! There are also notes of coconut, heavy cream, vanilla, dark chocolate, brown sugar and even french press Aribica. Lovely!

T- The flavors follow suit to the aromas rather well, again with plenty of hazelnut, vanilla cream, coffee, chocolate, and coffee crisp candy bar wafer. I find the coffee flavors, with perhaps chocolate and black malt showing well on the palate, bringing a bittering astringency to the palate. The alcohol also is mildly noticeable, bringing a very slight burn to the back of my tongue, before smoothing out and allowing the coffee-nut flavors to shine on again. The finish is flavor heavy and lingers, leaving behind a robust film of flavor....the coconut I got earlier becomes much more distinct. Very nice!

M/O- This has a rich, creamy carbonation, allowing the full nature of the flavors to coat the palate and really show off the individuality of what what trying to be accomplished here. The body is medium-full....again, rich and creamy......just beautiful fare here.....I am impressed, as I generally am with RM, and fully recommend this sweet, yet not overpowering milkshake stout. Excellent job here!!!
