16 ounce can, looks like the best before date stamped on the bottom of the can is 7/28/23. This brew was part of the winter 2022 12 Days of Milkshake Stout pack. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stayed around a little while. Decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like dark chocolate, cherries and dark breadiness. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also a bit of toasted malt and coffee flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and a bit slick with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a decent enough overall brew, worth trying if you're able to!

16oz can as part of the 12 pack holiday stout box. Brewed with milk sugars, cherries, and cocoa nibs. "Proprietary 7 malt blend", 5.2% ABV, 20 IBU.

Pours to what appears to be a clear very nearly black, forming a moderate dark tan head with average retention and average lacing. Nose is good. I smell black walnuts, chocolate and soy sauce. Mouthfeel is slick, lightly syrupy, medium bodied, slightly tart (from the cherries I think), and lightly chalky. Taste is interesting. Initially tart with cherries, then black walnut, soy sauce, chocolate and chalk. Very mild bitterness. There is also some dark roast acidity towards the finish and a lingering cherry character in the aftertaste.

An interesting brew which delivers on the name, although I am not really enjoying the tartness (Not Lactobacillus). One of these is plenty. It feels quite filling and bigger bodied than the 5.2% would have you believe. I can't see myself buying this or really recommending it, although it's a well brewed beer, it's just not for me.

I got a can of this beer from a mixed Christmas holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint chocolate and berry notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate malt base and berry highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

I am beginning to find these a bit thin at their low ABV but this definitely tastes like a cordial cherry with coffee and toasted malt undertones. Overall, above average and the targeted flavors were achieved.
