On-tap at BSB's outlet at Cairns Airport. This was their "low-carb" lager.

Pours a very pale, watery piss yellow colour. Head is pleasantly firm and fine, however, and leaves some mild lacing on the glass. It certainly looks better than I expect it's going to taste.

Nose is mildly inoffensive, but very dull. Light grassy notes with a thin, plaintive reediness coming through. There's perhaps also a grainy faint malt hint. But it's all so weak as to almost be non-existent.

Taste is also weak but inoffensive. Slight twinkle of hops on the mid-palate is about all the flavour it imparts, while a bite of carbonation throughout creates a sensation of thinness, along with some effervescence on the finish. I'm unimpressed, but not offended.

This is just straight out bland. It's very light, very weak and slightly unpleasant, but at least it's not offensive to my soul.

From iPhone notes. On tap at Blue Sky at Cairns airport.

Pours a half finger head pale straw with reasonable lace.

Aromas of not much at all, sadly. A little corn.

Taste is corn and metal from early on, not a good sign. Strictly in Low Carb territory but with metallic twang.

Mouthfeel appropriate for style

Not Blue Sky's best offering with the metallic element
