$2 16oz can... I've heard of this brewery before, but hadn't had anything from them before.
Appearance: Burnt orange/red/brown sort of color. About as carbonated as a pop... head bubbles away before it even really forms. There's a nice haze. Absolutely zero lacing. Pretty unattractive beer, to say the least.
Smell: Caramel malts, with a slight bit of roast. Mild hoppy presence. Nothing extraordinary here, but it just has a quality aroma.
Taste: Like the aroma, really. The hops come through a bit more, and the prickly carbonation opens up the taste buds. Pretty mild bitterness... nice bit of sweetness, and an overall solid balance. Aftertaste has a bit of that roast character that I got in the aroma. Carbonation is moderate/high with some prickly carbonation, and the feel is pretty thin. I'd maybe prefer a bit more body, but for some reason, this is working for me right now.
An ugly beer as far as appearance, but the price is right, and this is actually a very good beer. It's nothing that'll knock your socks off, and you'll no doubt have better from the style, but this is very enjoyable. I'd gladly have this again. Try it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
