another cool english type pale ale from these guys, this one a little more cleaned up in the glass than the pura to me, its clearer and brighter, and poured from the regular tap not the cask pull it has a higher and longer lasting head, pure white, gorgeous on top of an only slightly cloudy light amber base. the whole experience is a little lighter, even tough its still got a sturdy malt structure to it, it just seems cleaner to me. toasted biscuit and honey in the grain, not overly sweet though and still kilned and earthy. the hops are almost all on the back end, seemingly mostly bitter at first sip but as this warms up a bit some herbal character comes out, a hint of green tea, and even a little pine, decent freshness and pop too. the yeast is more subtle here than in the pura, still sort of english and bready to me, drying and active in this still it seems, neat to have such evident contributions from all the elements, even the water chemistry seems unique in this one. in a lot of ways this is simple pale ale, but it feels uniquely rustic and agricultural to me, there is a sense of place in it, in all the beers these guys make. it has pretty relaxed carbonation which extends the beer in a pleasant way, and its close to dry and as such quite drinkable. a little different from just about all of these out there, but also only subtly. cool stuff, awesome to be able to drink it at the source!

500ml bottle. Shaker glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Sahara gold in color, chill haze. Off-white, slowly fading, crown. Yeast, fresh bread hints, fruity notes –apricot hues-,flowers & lavander to the nose. Resiny upfront & dry bitterness. Sweet malts & gentle mouthfeel. Medium body, soft carbonation. Hop & mildy malty cereals are well balanced. Slightly woody & lemon zest touches into the finish. Pleasant, refreshing & drinkable.
