From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles, last units. In Duvel glass. After dinner. Lots of sediments. Nice aroma. Taste duller than expected from aroma. As it was one of the last units, Could be a damaged beer?

330 ml. bottle. Deep golden-oroange colour, with a good medium head that leaves a small lace.
Smell is hoppy, floral, citrus and pine.
Light body, the palate has a creamy texture.
Taste is the same as smell: hoppy, citrus, pine, with some caramel notes.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color wih a modest head that leaves some lacing
Smell: A hint of caramel and a strong floral (slightly herbal) bouquet
Taste: Like the aroma, there is a hint of caramel to lay down the base and then a very unusual floral element takes over and dominates through the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Like nothing I have ever tasted before, this brewer and his beer deserve more attention

Solid and well rounded pale ale. A very pleasing surprise for craft beer lovers in the Basque Country.
Presentation: 33 cl. brown capped bottle. Blue label with a presiding illustration over a yellow background portraying Bob in working overalls admiring a recently poured beer. Notes in French include a succinct description of ingredients, serving, and storing notes. It has a difficult to read best by date (L03/02/12), and shows Alc. by Vol. (4.5%) Served in a tall beer glass.
A - Pale amber color with a very faint haze. Nice generous head that shows good retention and leaves nice lacing.
S - Fresh and hoppy nose. Gentle touches of citrus, resin and a bready malty touch.
T - Gentle hoppiness, citrus, grapefruit, sweet touch lingering, honeysuckle like, with a a nice malt sense embracing the finish.
M - Light to medium with a smooth and creamy feel over a nicely balanced carbonation.
D - This works beautifully, and given the context, i.e. a barren landscape of craft ales, finding this quality local offering made it feel delicious.
Notes: Next time around in the region these brews are well worth reaching. In fact, trying to organize a visit to the Brasserie and trying other offerings should be the thing to do.
