Listed on the menu as a "Mouth puckering sour beer". They got that right.
So when my sampler arrived, this unobtrusive clear yellow beer with almost no head sat alongside my Prototype IPA #9 and my Orange Whip saison. Little did I know it was going to be my favorite.
Aroma was slightly sour and there was some funkiness. The sourness offset any malts, and I didn't get much of a hop profile, if there was one.
Taste... OMG is this one sour. This is what I had gone there looking for, that Sour Project didn't deliver on. It was indeed a mouth puckering tart beer. Well named.
Mouthfeel was good, if a little astringent. But I kept going back for more.
Overall, if I get back there before they run out of this one I will be getting more than 6 ounces. Worth the drive just for this (but the food is awesome too, and Sunday nights they have live Irish music. Check the website.)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
