Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a hazy coppery color. There is a small off white head that doesn’t linger or leave much lacing. Slightly sweet caramel malt aroma, along with some rye and earthy hops. The taste is OK. Somewhat bitter and dry It feels medium bodied-not an Imperial at all. Malts is background with some rye flavor. Rates an OK, but nothing special.

Tap at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly hazy fall leaf brown, 1-finger white head turns to a ring rather quickly but leaves good lacing along the way.
Smell is pretty weak, but not bad, some sweet and toasty malts with some herbal hops.
Taste is an improvement, quite tamed overall but pleasant. Mostly malts, lots of toasty biscuit malt, some herbal and spicy hops and some rye. Nice fresh bread taste on the finish.
Good mouthfeel, very smooth and a bit oily, medium carbonation, wouldn't guess this was 7%.
Decent, goes easy on the hops for an imperial, quite accessible like many of their beers. Pulls off a nice autumn feel.
