on cask for their anniversary party in september. served in a nonic. from notes.
a - came to the table with a finger of dense light brown foam that eventually settled to a thin cap. beer itself a dark brown shade. lacing completely coats the inside of the glass.
s - bourbon, cola.
t - sweet chocolatey malt first followed by the raw burn of bourbon. light bitterness, dry finish. lacking depth.
m - thick and creamy. feels like a milkshake.
o - an odd take on the style. i'm pretty sure they just added bourbon to the cask instead of aging it in a barrel. not a particularly enjoyable beer.
