This was my second offering while at the Great Oaks brewpub. Had a amber color but with no head what so ever, some slight wisps of froth along one side of the glass. The aroma was typical, somewhat robust hop scent more of a pine scent to me. Also a slight sweeter malt scent is somewhat noticeable. The taste was pretty good, nice hop flavor that stuck around while a slight sweet flavor was present as well. Feel that this is a pretty basic IPA but it had good flavor and a easy drinking property to it. Much better than the stout offering.

Got this one last night at the ROB, the second beer I tried there. Overall, a very tasty IPA and one I could drink a bunch of. Poured an amber color with a finger of head that sat on top for a good while. Nose was strong on fruity hops. Taste was likewise; a fairly balanced IPA that had a good amount of caramel malt and a nice hoppy kick. Certainly not mindblowing for an IPA, and not a hop explosion, but serviceable and tasty. I'd go back again and again for these.

I bought a six pack at the brewery the other day. I poured a bottle into my pint glass. The color is camouflaged into my pine stained computer desk. The smell makes me think that a large quantity of hops had been used to brew this beer. The bitter taste confirms my suspicion. An unidentified fruit taste is present to supply a hint of sweetness. Aftertaste is strong. These characteristics are typical, and required for an IPA. It's good for an IPA.

Poured a translucent copper. There is a small white head at the start that doesn't stick around for long. No lacing is evident.

Smells of moderate citrus hop bitterness.

Taste is much the same as the smell, citrus hops. This is not an extremely hoppy IPA and was very well balanced.

Mouthfeel is somewhat light. There is a slightly bitter but refreshing aftertaste. This brew goes down light and refreshing, I could have a few of these in a session even though it isn't a session beer per say.

All in all a decent IPA and one I'd have again.

part of a new project at the brewery, putting one of their standard beers on cask every week.

thick, brown/orange, hazy -- looks like spiced cider. smell is spicy and yeasty, with strong floral hops. this beer, on cask, is an oil slick of spice and hops. citrus and floral hops are infused with the bread crust flavors, all things becoming one seamlessly. fantastic. very sweet, and wonderfully drinkable.

the difference in this beer from standard to cask form is immeasurable.

A fair offering in the AIPA style. Poured out to a orange color with a smaller head of orange/white foam. Medium level of carbonation. Aromas of dry hops and floral notes filled the nose. Taste was rather hoppy, as it should be, but was rather dry, lacking the slick and permeating quality of many high-hopped brews. Notes of citrus and raw sugar were also noted. Mouthfeel was good, but again lacked any real consistancy. Drinkability is above average. I'd like to see this one with more flavorful hops.

Orange-ish amber with a thick white head, slightly cloudy in appearance. Big hop aroma right off the bat, citrus and floral, with a good solid malt backbone behind it with bread and caramel malt aromas. Good bitterness and syrupy malt flavor, creamy caramel malt and light bready flavor. Plenty of malt to back up the bitterness. This is a good IPA.

I am an IPA slappy, and this beer didn't disappoint. Poured out to a nice orangish color in the glass with a fluffly head. Aroma of pine and grapfruit presence. Excellent use of hops as they are predominantly the main feture here and that is a good thing. Delicious.
