Full black, one finger of foam, light brown colored, quickly disappearing.
In the smell notes of cocoa, coffee, hazelnut, vanilla, green wood, artichoke. Intense and intriguing.
Pleasant semll, again, liquorice, dry fruits, nuts.
The taste is less interesting, a bit light, it slips away a bit too much.
Interesting, but not thrilling.

Well I wasn't really expecting this. It's a lot on the coffee but not I don't really get the wine barrel attributes.
This beer smells and tastes green : green coffee, green pepper. Some roasted malts and some leather and peppercorn notes. It doesn't have a deep dark colour but a mahogany shade. The ABV is very well hidden. The taste is overall balanced but might be a bit green which kind of strange for a barrel aged imperial stout

Vanilla, chocolate, earthy aroma. Sweet vanilla, wine barrel adds a rounded flavor vs whiskey or bourbon. A nice aipping, dessert beer

Dark brown color with light brown head. Aroma is really spice forward. I get chilies and dark, roasted malts. Taste has green coffee and roasted malts. Really balanced overall. Medium body and carbonation. Alcohol is really well hidden. Quite nice overall.

On bottle @Il Pretesto Beershop (Bologna). The colour is thick black, head is small. When you smell it, you can feel coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, herbs and notes of alcohol. Since it is aged in barolo barrels, you can definetly taste the wine there. Medium carbonation. Very nice to drink.
