330ml bottle

A- Slightly hazy golden, though still quite bright. Head is white, not big but quite dense, nicely persistent until the very last sips

S- Very refreshing herbal aroma, fresh cut grass/herbal notes are backed up by lemon. a touch of spiciness may also be noticed. Not at all complex, but as mentioned pleasant and refreshing

T- Zesty? Well yes. A slight touch of malt sweetness upfront, then a very refreshing citric feel on the tongue as well as in the aftertaste, with notes of lemon and maybe orange; Some grassy notes as well. Bitterness is definitely present (and by saying that i mean for the belgian pale ale style, which this beer still fits) and it adds to the beer refreshing feel. A slight touch of spiciness and yeast rawness reminds you that this is belgium-inspired

M- Light to medium body with a nice dose of carbonation to bring life. Clean and simple mouthfeel, not much to say, fits the beer

O- Not a complex beer, but sure a very an highly drinkable one. One to drink whenever you look for some quality refreshement

Clear straw color with slightly off-white head. As the name suggests, it's zesty on the nose with fresh lemongrass notes and rustic, earthy yeast notes. Taste follows with fresh grass, some floral yeast, earthy notes and a herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish which lingers for a long time. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. A really nice, easy drinking pale ale with a good amount of hops.

Pours orangey amber with a large, growing white head.
Pleasant aroma of spicy phenols, perfume-like floral notes, and doughy yeast.
Flavours include the same spicy notes and doughy yeast, before a strong hoppy prescence takes enters with a bold, sharp bitterness and spicy noble-like finish. Perhaps too much hops for such a light and dry beer.
Great moderately-high carbonation works wonders.

Pour is clear pale yellow with a tight white head. Nose is lemons up front, lots of yeast and very spicey. More lemon with orange peel citrus hop profile in back. Taste is lemon pledge, fairly spicy and yeasty to balance with the orange peel in the finihs. Body is is light with a faint bitterness in a finish that falls off a bit lacking carbonation.

Pours a pale straw colour, distinct cloud throughout the body. Head is white in colour, large bubbles but nice density to them, and retains thick and meaty on the sides of the glass. Very pale but looks great.

Wow, basil on the nose. No mistaking it at all. Touch of lemon to it as well but overwhelmingly herbal. I'm intrigued, but I really can't get much more than a basil aroma.

Same again on the palate. Slight fruity edge but a big load of herbs. Funny ol' beer. Touch of tang, but more herbs than anything else. Quite savoury at times, but there's a certain level of refreshment from it as well. Glad it's only 5.3%, any stronger and we could be going into very rocky waters indeed.

Foamy, nice body. Not bad at all on the texture.

Not sure if the flavours I'm getting are all intentional. Not very Belgian, some unique characters creeping in which could be a delightful quirk or some egregious error. But the beer overall is not bad at all, and there are some very nice refreshing notes as well. Worth a try.

On-tap at the Italian SpecTapular festival at the Local Taphouse in Sydney.

Pours a very pale, slightly flat yellow colour with a light body and solid haze. Head is a full crown of white that leaves some solid, sudsy lacing.

Aroma is great, but very strange. Zesty (as should be expected), with some greener hop characters and some true herbal notes. Big aromatic characters of sweet basil and fresh spearmint. It's insane: one of the most herbal and fresh beers I've ever smelled.

And yet, the immediate flavour on the palate is...? Nothing. Not a drop when you first sip it. It takes a little time after it's been in your mouth before those herbal characters come through, lending more basil and mint, along with a bit of roundness from the yeast. Finish has the measure of it: bringing a nice clean and sharp bitterness to clear everything out after the oddness that preceded it.

Feel and aftertaste is clean and bitey, even though the feel itself feels very, very light.

Overall, I wasn't quite sure what to make of this beer. It's really quite unusual, but at the same time, simple, bright, clean and crisp. Whatever I made of it, it was one of my favourites at the festival.

Poured from a 33cl bottle. 1 think their is Julian dating on the side. If so, it was bottled in May.

It pours a cloudy orange.with a dense head. The aroma is very herbal.
Taste is off-putting. The herbal element is unpleasant. There is some lemon zest in the background.
I have really liked a lot of Italian beers. This is not one of them..

ive liked what little beer i have had from these guys, so its nice to see some of their stuff popping up around town. this is a cool beer, i didnt think it was meant to be a wild ale or anything, but it definitely has a little sourness going on. perhaps its infected, but i would guess its intentional. its neat because i taste the belgian yeast through and through, herbal and spicy and grassy and big, but i also get this tingle of acidity, short of puckery, but with the lemon and orange zest i taste in here, its pretty pronounced. the fruit aspect is cool, sort of subs in where more aggressive hops might be, late, right before the finish. its juicy and fresh tasting, with lemon pithy bitterness really taking the lead on the fruit side, although i get some sweeter orange too. not as hoppy as it could be for the style, but the zest seems to make up for it. a little fuller bodied too, but its fortunately very well carbonated, so it still drinks pretty light. its a fun beer, definitely a little something different in the style, and they dont beat you over the head with the fruit, so it could be quite a sessionable brew. tasty stuff, very distinct. is the tartness supposed to be there?
