On tap at Wolf Creek Brewing in Valencia, CA.
Pours a clear dark brown with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, dark fruits, brown sugar, clove/spices, and banana. Taste is much the same with an alcohol kick on the finish. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it smells better than it tastes in my opinion.

The beer is a hazy mahogany color with a small tan head. Nose is super intense. Chocolate, sugar, dates, banana, and a hint of bubblegum. Some spice notes and a hint of yeast, some caramel to it as well. The flavor is almost too intense. Over the top sweetness with tons of dates, raisins, plums, and bananas. Brown sugar, caramel, and toffee maltiness. A little bit of alcohol, notes of chocolate, and some light spiciness.

Consumed on draft at brewery 12/10/07.
Cloudy caramel brown. No active carbonation. Minimal head. No detectable aroma. Light yeast, vague malt and some sweetness (cane and candied sugar flavors) mask alcohol completely. No bitterness, very clean finish.
Good effort but doesn't measure up to actual Abbey beers.
