On tap at Newhall Refinery in Newhall, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with earthy rye and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a rye presence that is slightly better in the taste.

The beer is a hazy amber color with an off-white head. Pretty nice hippiness to the nose. Plenty of citrus peel, floral, and pine notes. Might be shiny of pineapple, too. A little bit of caramel and rye. The rye is very pronounced on the palate. Decently bitter with some hints of caramel. A little bit of tropical fruit, grapefruit peel, and a little tangerine. Not bad, actually.
