This beer was brewed less than ten miles from my house. Horray for great local craft! Nice look with the teal/black color scheme and cool graphic of a cowboy holding a rifle on the can.
L: Two fingers of white snowy billows rose up from an aggressive pour into a goblet. Head retention is excellent. Body is clear amber with no sediment and very little bubbles.
S: Juicy. Well-balanced. Tropical notes of passion, guava and mango jump out, followed by peach and sweet cooked onion landing on a cushy bed of caramel malt.
T: Pineapple and mango are most prominent at first. There's a hint of orange citrus and meyer lemon, but the bitterness is very light here and the sweetness of the malt takes over. Had this on tap once and it was undeniably better.
F: Yet, it holds up well. Feel is excellent. Not crisp or hoppy enough for my taste, but smooth and very creamy. It manages to not be too rich, but it pushes the bounds for a single IPA.
O: Very good. Makes me want to make a visit to the brewhouse.
