Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clear black color with about 3/4 inch of light tan head that had low retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma featured mostly a nice grain scent, with a bit of roastiness, and some very mild hops. The flavors were mostly the same, but the roast had a more dominant role, pushing the grains a bit farther back in the mix.
The body was pretty good, nicely smooth and even, and had a clean finish. Drinkability was pretty good, I could see drinking a couple of these while watching the game. Overall, a pretty nice brew. Almost a must try, but certainly a should try if you see it around the Puget Sound region.
