Nothing about this brew that I really dislike, but just could not get excited about it. Pours a murky light brown with lasting beige foam. Aromas are faint malt and a floral hop. Flavor is really boring and a little watery - very mild malt again, followed by a somewhat tangy dry finish.

Poured a very dark brown with a cream collar. Heavily toasted caramel to the point of burnt, burnt nuts, barley, just smoky with caramel malts lingering. Taste is much better, good earth, toasted caramel malts, sneaky breadiness, and a touch of grainy grass. Medium bodied feel with malts leading the way, subtle earthiness is pleasing, goes down easy

Picked up a 22oz bottle of this yesterday ($7.00, at The Beer Store in Nashua). Quaffing today while watching the Bruins-Penguins game. Has a best-by date of March 2015 on the label.
Poured some into a Sammy perfect pint glass... It is a clear, deep copper brew, with a healthy amount of carbo rising rapidly within. The head is a 1/4" layer of creamy, fine tan foam. It lasts fairly well, with some decent lacing left arrears. Nose is a nice combo of bready malts, caramel, and some brown bread. The body is a nice medium, with a bit of airy lightness on the tongue. Pretty smooth, all in all.
Flavor has a pleasing bit of caramel and light, malty sweetness. It's a bit nutty, with that brown-bread aspect once more. Actually, more like a bit of brown bread soaked in dark rum. Towards the finish a bit of floral hopping appears, leaving a smidge of bitterness on the palate. Quite drinkable, when all is said and done. Prosit!!!

From the 650 ml. bottle with an expiration date of March 2015. Sampled on January 24, 2015.
Lovely brown pour with hints of red and a big, long lasting off-white head.
Sweet caramel malts and nuts up front. Vibrant in malts. A little musky. Hops limited.
Medium, clean body.
Great roasted caramel malt taste with a mild bitterness briefly at the finish. Balanced and easy drinking.

Cask at Cask and Vine.
Deep golden color with a minimal head. Rich crackery bready pilsner maltiness with a burnt or caramel maltiness and some floral spicy hops to counter. Flavorful easy drinking brew that disappeared in no time. I'd love to try this again on a regular tap!
